Call me slow on the uptake, but I had no idea that getting engaged would be so . . . different. There used to be a scifi series on television called Stargate, about a magic portal that was unearthed from some Egyptian remains. “These results are not surprising,” said Eric Mitchell, Founder of Drug

The latest bizarre episode in the life of George Galloway took place yesterday, when a rubber “stress ball” flung from an office window scored a direct hit on the Respect MP as he campaigned in central London. Mr Galloway, 53, who is standing for a seat in the London Assembly, was on the upper deck of his open-topped “battle bus” when the missile caught him on the temple, leaving him bruised. The ball was believed to have been thrown from a building in Theobalds Road, Holborn. A man was arrested and was being held in custody last night.
